Dear La Folia
Dear La Folia 13.
The season’s changed and it’s no longer mandatory to light an evening fire. This means music listening unaccompanied by the fan in our wood-burning stove.

Dear La Folia 12.
I don’t know that a month has elapsed in the past five years without periods of audiophile anguish over imaging.

Dear La Folia 11: This Time ’Round, Amplifiers
Perceived acoustic certainties appear like Venus on the half shell, only to crumble in a penumbra of doubt: Do these two amplifiers, a Bel Canto eVo2 and a Spectron Digital One, really sound different?

Dear La Folia 3.
Schumann is something of a mystery to me.
Dear La Folia 2.
I apologize for not writing sooner but I have been so busy meditating on suffering, old age and death, trying to fathom the meaning of my unlikely existence in a universe that is even more unlikely (and increasingly appears to be composed not of quarks or strings, but of imagination), that I’ve had precious little time for the really important things, like whether SACD will become the de facto new standard, or whether the Spectron Digital One amplifier is truly digital in nature.
